When in actual reality living ‘clean’ can serve as a great anti- depressant.
The clarity, endorphin release and confidence gained from training and eating right can change an individual’s whole outlook on life.
We wanted to explore this topic so we caught up with a great guy who on the back of a tragic loss together with a friend, has started a movement addressing exactly this!
LIVIN was Co-founded by Sam Webb and Casey Lyons in September 2013, in honour of Casey’s best friend Dwayne Lally who tragically took his own life.
The overwhelming mission of the ‘Livin’ movement is about destroying the stigma attached to mental illness. Connecting, supporting and inspiring one another to talk about their feelings, issues and problems because “It Ain’t Weak to Speak” and you are never alone.
Through the staging of events, sale of a apparel and the running of motivational programs ‘Livin’ are very quickly making an impact on our community and are starting to get more people talking about mental health disorders and suicide prevention.
